Van Maintenance Checklist for Reliable Service
Regular maintenance prevents breakdowns and costly delays. Keep a log book for every van and perform quick checks daily.
Daily checks
- Tyre condition and pressure, lights, mirrors, horn and fluid levels (oil, washer, coolant).
- Check load restraint kit, straps, ratchets and tie points for wear.
Weekly & monthly
- Weekly: battery terminals, tyre tread depth and brake feel.
- Monthly: service items like filters, belts and detailed inspection of suspension.
Seasonal
- Before winter: antifreeze level, winter tyres if used, and carry additional warm-weather contingency items.
