Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions govern your use of Hampshire Man And Van services. By booking our services, you agree to these terms.

1. Booking & Quotes

  • Quotes are estimates based on information provided. Final prices may vary if job requirements differ from the original description.
  • We reserve the right to adjust pricing if additional work is required or if access difficulties are not disclosed in advance.
  • Bookings are confirmed once we agree on a date, time, and price (verbally or in writing).

2. Payment

  • Payment is due upon completion of the job unless otherwise agreed.
  • We accept cash, bank transfer, and card payments.
  • For large jobs, we may request a deposit to secure your booking.

3. Cancellations

  • Please give at least 24 hours notice for cancellations.
  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may incur a cancellation fee.
  • No-shows may be charged the full quoted amount.

4. Our Responsibilities

  • We will handle your belongings with care and professionalism.
  • We are fully insured for goods in transit and public liability.
  • We will arrive at the agreed time (allowing for traffic conditions).
  • We will notify you as soon as possible if we expect any delays.

5. Your Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information about the job including any access difficulties (stairs, parking restrictions, narrow doorways).
  • Ensure items are ready to be moved at the agreed time.
  • Inform us of any fragile or valuable items that need special handling.
  • Obtain any necessary parking permits or arrange suitable parking for our van.
  • Be present (or have a representative present) at pickup and delivery.

6. Items We Cannot Move

For safety and legal reasons, we cannot transport:

  • Hazardous materials (flammable, explosive, corrosive items)
  • Illegal items
  • Live animals or plants
  • Items requiring specialist equipment we don't possess

7. Damage & Claims

  • We take great care, but if damage occurs during transit, please notify us within 24 hours.
  • Claims must include photographs of the damage.
  • We are not liable for items packed by the customer if the packaging was inadequate.
  • Pre-existing damage should be noted before the move.
  • Our liability is limited to the market value of the item at the time of damage.

8. Delays & Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or inability to perform services due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to: severe weather, road closures, vehicle breakdown, or illness.

9. Limitation of Liability

Our total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the total price paid for the service. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
